Edgewood's season came to a close with a 60 - 48 loss to Cascade in the Sectional semifinal at Speedway. The Mustangs stumbled out of the gate and trailed 8 - 0 before getting on the board. From there, Edgewood battled back but could never quite get over the hump, as several times the Mustangs cut the lead to one and had the ball, only to turn the ball over or miss a close shot. AJ Norris and Karson Gladhill led the Mustangs with 16 and 14 points, respectively. In addition, Reece Roberts scored 9 points, Luke Druckrey had 6, Evan Jacobs scored 2, and Zane Powell had 1 point to complete the scoring. Druckrey led with 7 rebounds and Norris added 6, while four Edgewood players - Norris, Roberts, Druckrey and Powell - had 2 assists, and Jacobs had 2 steals to lead those categories. This was the last game for seniors Carter Hayden and Reece Roberts, whose leadership and toughness both on and off the court will be missed. Thanks to both Reece and Carter for their outstanding contributions to Mustang basketball throughout their careers and best wishes to them in all their future endeavors. The Mustangs finished the season with an 11 - 12 record.
