The Edgewood JV started fast and didn't look back in a blowout 66 - 34 win against visiting Shakamak. The Mustangs raced out to a 14 - 2 lead and eventually increased the lead to 35, triggering a running clock for the last few minutes of the game. Zane Powell scored 21 points and Henry Norris added 14 to lead Edgewood. In addition, Cam Christie scored 9 points, Liam Newton had 7, Drew Figg scored 6 points and Dylan Wickens had 4. Finally, Jack Ripley had 3 points and Eli Lirot had 2 to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Powell also led the rebounding effort with 6, while Ripley added 5. Powell, Christie and Ripley all had 3 assists, and Christie also had 4 steals to lead those categories for Edgewood. The JV Mustangs improved to 10 - 4 on the season and next play on Friday, Feb. 20, when they host Mitchell.
