Edgewood improved to 2 - 0 on the young season with a solid 56 - 39 victory at North Putnam. Leading by only 6 at the half, the Mustangs used a 19 - 7 run in the 3rd quarter to open up a more comfortable lead and were never seriously challenged down the stretch. Edgewood was led by AJ Norris and Caden Jones with 18 and 16 points respectively. In addition, Reece Roberts had 11 points, Carter Hayden scored 6, and Zane Powell had 5 points to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Jones and Evan Jacobs both puled down 4 rebounds, while Jones also added 4 steals, and Norris and Roberts had 2 assists each to lead those categories for Edgewood. The Mustangs are back in action on Friday evening when they travel to Bloomfield.
